Realtor fired after Facebook post

More poor choices by employees on social media...

Quotes from "Realtor fired after Facebook post" story:
... an Austin [Texas] real estate agent posted a Facebook comment containing a racial slur. The president of the company said he admitted to writing it, so she fired him.
KVUE showed the real estate agent's post to University of Texas School of Journalism lecturer Robert Quigley, who teaches social media classes.
"My first reaction is, 'Wow,'" Quigley said. "This is the kind of thing that will get you fired, absolutely. You have free speech rights, so he's not going to go to jail, but you don't have a right to say whatever you want and stay employed."
This man isn't the first to lose his job over a social media post. Public relations executive Justine Sacco was fired after she posted an offensive comment on Twitter.
Posts like these won't only get you fired. They can also keep you from being hired.
